              Strengths

              Adequate institutional finance has been raised from various financing institutions viz as LIC, OBC, Allahabad Bank, UBI, BDI, Huded, Bank of Maharashtra, NHB, HDFC and Punjab State Coop. Bank during last years resulting in continuously smooth     disbursement of loan. Housefed has so far raised a sum of Rs.151897.53 lacs as on 31-07-2011 from various institutions.


              In view of the sufficient institutional finance raised this organization was able to disburse a sum of Rs.112.81.94 lacs upto 31-07-2011.


              The overall recovery of loans is 57.58% (tentative) for 2010-11.


              Share capital contribution by member societies as on 31-03-11 is Rs. 4777.20 lacs including Govt. contribution.


              Profitability of the Federation during the last five years is as given below.

              The own funds as on 31-03-11 was Rs. 22652.54 lacs.

              Organization of Seminars Teh./Distt. levels under the supervision of field staff to hear the suggestions or problems in connection with loan advanced by the institution on regular     intervals.


              Loanee members are assisted personnally by the field staff to get the documents prepared from various departments viz as Revenue, Tehsildar etc. Delivery of saction letters, instalment cheques etc are made at the door steps of a loanee member by our field staff for the convenience of a loanee member.


              Time bound procedure is adopted while checking and passing of loan cases in order to avoid undue delay to be caused to loanee members.
               

               * One time settlement scheme was introduced for providing benefits to the defaulters. First scheme was introduced on 03-05-06 for covering defaulters upto 31-03-04. This scheme was closed on 31-03-07. Second one time settlement scheme was introduced on 16-10-07 an under this scheme defaulters upto 31-03-05 were covered and it close on 30-06-08.


               

              * Lok Adalats were held on 20-12-2008 and 21-12-2008 to settle the cases of defaulter loanee members and to give relief to them as per guidelines dated 18-11-08 issued by the RCS, Punjab. The number of cases settled is 2573 amounting to Rs 4888.20 lacs giving a relief of Rs. 2042.83 lacs.
